<p>It was built before Burhanpur jama masjid and is approximately the same design.<br>Just like the Jama Masjid in Burhanpur, the Asir Masjid also has the builder’s name and genealogy inscribed in Arabic and Sanskrit!</p>

<p>The fort is atop a hill and one of the forts which was difficult to conquer by force.<br>It has three levels and comprises of three forts: the lowermost Malaygarh, the middle one Kamargarh built by Aurangzeb, and the highest and oldest part, Asirgarh.</p>

<p>The mosque is 935 feet by 40 ft and instead of a roof, it&#8217;s ceiling is created by intersecting symmetrical arches.<br>it has a huge courtyard and approx 1000 + could offer prayers here.</p>
