First I thought it was Moti Mahal restaurant 


I went in some people were praying.


Mr Mustafa who said he’s been looking after the mosque for past 45 years (I’m a khadim he said as how can any man be a mutawalli of a mosque) was an extremely nice person.

Said women are welcome to pray there.

He said that there is a place in the back for them.

Was extremely impressed by him, his friendliness and akhlaq


On Twitter people are sharing that their first brush with urdu shayri was via the book stall which sells hindi diwans of Ghalib and Iqbal there.

It’s now looked after the muezzin of the masjid.
