Since Islam emphasised equality & brotherhood congregational prayers were encouraged.

The foundations were laid by Sultan Mahmud Sharqi (r. 1440-1457) but it was later enlarged and completed by Sultan Husain Sharqi (r. 1458-79).
The Sharqi dynasty (1394 – 1479) was founded in 1394 by Khwajah-i-Jahan Malik Sarwar & was a culturally & architecturally rich state

The Sharqi dynasty was a breakaway from the Tughlaq and that is reflected in it’s architecture
The Jami Masjid bears similarity to Begumpuri mosque with it’s high monumental arch
Here it hides the dome behind & was a feature of late sultanate mosque architecture

A mimbar/pulpit and mihrab or niche indicating qibla -the direction for prayers – as Muslims pray in the direction of Kaaba, are very important features of all mosques.

The building is raised on a high platform reached by three entrance gateways with steep flights of stairs.
No idea why it was titled as tomb

Shah Raja Qattal is father of Banda Nawaz Hazrat Gesu daraz.

He is burued in khuldabad near Aurangabad in Maharashtra. His tomb was made by Tana Shah, his disciple the last Qutb Shahi king.
