Fritware ceramic with polychromy under transparent glaze</p>
<p>interesting for its the first time I saw what looks like a mosque with its domes and minarets and a mosque lamp as was commonly found in masjids in those days. The rehal and Quran sharif on it within a niche signify to my mind the qibla wall.<br />
It&#8217;s painted by the potter as a flat facade and the minarets bent to fit in the round space.<br />

Mosque is aligned east west &amp; door normally opens in the east. A shrine&#8217;s focus would be on grave not the Quran &amp; its alignment is north south<br />
