The Mughal school of paintings estd by Humayun reached its zenith under Jahangir.
Akbar’s taswir khana employed Persian and Hindustani artists giving birth to a vibrant style.
Jahangir was a connoisseur of paintings & could recognize the hand of each painter.
When Jahangir had rebelled against his father Akbar, he set up a court and taswir khana in Allahabad.
It was there that one of the greatest #muraqqa or #albums was created.
I tried to see the album in Teheran’s Golestan Palace & Berlin’s Pergamon museum but was unsuccessful:(
