I came across this dargah in Gulbarga a few years ago.
It’s called Jhat Pat Bibi ki dargah and women come here in great numbers & ask the Bibi to pray on their behalf to Allah for children and their health.
Once the mannar is fulfilled they offer sweets & fruits and hear the Jhat Pat Bibi ki Kahani.
The story relates to Janab Fizza, who was Hazrat Fatima’s attendant & close companion. She stayed with the family her whole life.
Bibi Fizza was an Ethiopian & Hazrat Fatima & she divided the household chores between them. After the death of Hazrat Fatima she continued to stay with the Ahlul Bayt. She was present in Karbala and with Bibi Zainab later in Syria. She suffered imprisonment with the family.
The story relates to the time Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Fatima & Imam Hasan & Husain invited the Prophet pbuh for a meal with them on 4 consecutive days. Hazrat Ali would arrange for barley & Hazrat Fatima would cook barley rotis /cakes.
On the 5th day Bibi Fizza extended an invitation but didn’t inform anyone else.
When the Prophet arrived & The Prophet said he was Fizza’s guest, Hazrat Ali asked her why she hadn’t informed him for he would have arranged for jau.
She said, that Allah is the best provider. She prayed 2 rakat namaz & asked Allah that I have invited your Habib.
“aye Khaliq har bulandi-o-pasti main tere habeeb ki beti ki kaneez hoon aur Tere habeeb ko apna mehmaan kiya hai. Tu jaanta hai ke main kya hoon. Is liye Tujhe Teri Kibriyaai ka wasta deti hoon ke aaj meri laaj rakh lay ”
Soon the house was filled with fragrance of delicious food.
I heard a lady reciting the story and sat down with and heard it, of course adding my own supplications.
