Einta minarets of Ahmedabad

The jhoolta minor or shaking minarets was one of the first monuments I had read about in Ahmedabad. However, due to it being next to the railway station and so in a highly congested area we thought we’d see it just before boarding the train.

As we came near the station we saw two sets of minarets peeping out on either end of the station. Since the second one was easier to access we went there hoping this was it!

The area where the minarets are locate dis very small and congested and so I had a tough time photographing it.

These niches are now empty but they must at one point have had some floral or geometric decorations along the lines of the Tree of Life pattern

The Einta Minarets are the tallest at about 100 feet and though it isn’t the jhoolta minor which is on the other side of the station this one is worth visiting.
