One explanation given to me for the name of this beautiful Mosque – Kevda Mosque built in reign of Mahmud Begarha / Begada in Champaner, Gujarat was that it was used by kevda workers.
Kevda was farmed in that area.
It’s in the fields away from the rest of the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
