Dr Chiman Lal who ran a dispensary in Daryaganj and was also the Mughal Emperor ‘s physician was one of the first persons to be killed on 11th May 1857 by the sepoys.
He had converted to Christianity which was held against him.
Buried in St James Church in Kashmiri gate
