Part of Hakim Ahsanullah Khan’s Haveli in Shahjahanabad

Once upon a time he held great power as Wazir to the Mughal Emperor during the Uprising of 1857.
The ‘rebels’ Indian sepoys never trusted him & the emperor had to intervene to save his life more than once.
But was he faithful to his master, the Badshah?
That his life was spared by the British after fall of Delhi is telling, isn’t it?
Not only that Hakim Ahsanullah Khan also testified against the Emperor.

Note: Location – lambi Gali. The erstwhile Excelsior theatre was built in part of it.
