Neptune Fountain in Berlin

Visited The Neptune Fountain (Neptunbrunnen) at Alexanderplatz, Berlin. It is a striking neo-Baroque masterpiece by Reinhold Begas, dating back to 1891.
Neptune, the Roman god of the sea, stands triumphantly on a giant shell held aloft by four bronze tritons, wielding his iconic trident.
At the basin’s rim sit four female personifications symbolizing the major Prussian-era rivers—Elbe, Rhine, Oder, and Vistula—each depicted with attributes like grains, grapes, timber blocks, or goats.
