While wandering in the lanes of Leh, I came across Datun Sahib.
It is the name of a tree in the main Leh bazaar.
As per legend Guru Nanak ji visited this place in 1516. He put the datun he used into the ground ND that became a tree. A gurudwara has been built to commemorate it.
It is located behind the Jamia Masjid in the main bazaar at Leh.
The Datun Sahib is located close to the Leh Palace, on a lane which mainly houses bread makers.
All faiths live together in harmony in ladakh.
It’s branches dominates the area.
Remains of a votive stupa near Datun Sahib.
