The material used is mainly grey sandstone tomb was it designed by the architect Aliwal Khan and built between 1540 and 1545.
As in many Sur Era tombs it is octagonal in plan and is topped by an impressive dome surrounded by ornamental domed kiosks.

There is an single-storey verandah running around its circumference, with three arched openings in each side, that creates an ambulatory around the central octaganal chamber within.
There’s a walled garden and a monumental doorway.
It reminds me of Isa Khan tomb in Humayun’s tomb complex in Delhi- Isa Khan was a noble of Sher Shah
A small Mosque in the compound is functional but seemed of later vintage.
Has become an adda as there’s no ticketed entry for it.
Even the road to it leaves much to be desired.
