Situated in the citadel of Cairo Mohammed Ali Pasha commissioned it between 1830 and 1848.
It has been built in the Ottoman style on top of the citadel and is quite breath taking inside. The mimbar is very beautiful
This clock tower was presented by the French to Mohammed Ali Pasha of Egypt when he made the famous alabaster mosque in Cairo.This clock according to our guide never worked!!
