Gorgeous isn’t it!
In 12th-century Iran, especially in Kashan, glazed ceramics with calligraphy became an important art form. These pieces often featured lustreware, with metallic glazes for a shimmering effect, and mina’i ware, using colorful overglaze painting. They displayed intricate calligraphy with poetic inscriptions and blessings in Persian or Arabic, showcasing the era’s artistic and cultural refinement.
